While pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Business and Economics from Oklahoma State University, James McSpadden began his political career as a member of Brad Henry’s successful gubernatorial campaign, which led to a position on Governor Henry’s personal staff.
James also served as a staffer for Congressman Dan Boren and Senate President Pro-Tempore Mike Morgan before joining McSpadden & Associates in 2004. Founded by his grandfather, Clem McSpadden, in 1983 and managed by Bart McSpadden, the firm provided James with the foundation for a successful career representing clients ranging from small, state-run associations to Fortune 100 companies. Many of the clients James represents today have been with the McSpadden family for over 30 years, spanning three generations.
Today, James is actively involved in various civic and charity organizations, particularly those that benefit rural communities. He resides in Oklahoma City with his wife, Joanna, and their two children.
